Founded in 1945 as a non-profit organization, SRCM is dedicated to providing spiritual training to seekers from all walks of life, completely free of charge.

Our Roots and Spiritual Lineage

Our journey began with a beautiful bond of love and spiritual mastery. SRCM was established by Shri Ram Chandra of Shahjahanpur (Babuji), who named the Mission in honor of his beloved spiritual teacher and guide, Shri Ram Chandra of Fatehgarh (Lalaji).

The light of this lineage has burned brightly through the decades. Babuji was succeeded by Shri Parthasarathi Rajagopalachari (Chariji), whose tireless dedication expanded the Mission's reach across the globe. Following Chariji's mahasamadhi in December 2014, the spiritual mantle passed to our current guide and President, Shri Kamlesh D. Patel, affectionately known to millions simply as Daaji. Under his visionary guidance, the timeless wisdom of the past seamlessly integrates with modern science and contemporary life.

The Path: Sahaj Marg (The Natural Path)

The practice taught within SRCM is rooted in Sahaj Marg, which translates beautifully to The Natural Path.

We believe that spirituality should not require you to withdraw from the world; rather, it should enrich your everyday existence. Sahaj Marg gently refines and simplifies the ancient practice of Raja Yoga (the yoga of the mind) for the modern era. It is a path of direct inner experience, easily integrated into a busy lifestyle. By meditating on the heart, seekers naturally dissolve the complexities of the mind, opening the door to lasting balance, authentic joy, and profound spiritual evolution.
