This is a small guide on how to reach Vrads
Sande Ashram.
COMING
BY AEROPLANE
Transportation
from Billund Airport
There is an
airport bus as well as a public bus from Billund to Vejle.
The airport
bus leaves only twice a day and you can check the plan here
The ride is
about half an hour and tickets are paid cash in the bus.
There are
also 2 public busses going to Vejle which is no. 244 and 907X
These 2
public busses leave more frequently than the airport bus from Billund.

From Vejle you can take bus no. 215 direction Silkeborg which will take you to Bryrup where you have to get off. Info about
this bus is found at www.vat.dk
The plan is
written in Danish only:
“Hverdage” = workdays, “lørdag” =
Saturday, “søn-og helligdage” = Sundays and
holidays.
From Bryrup to Vrads Sande there is about 6 km, there are no
busses or other kind of public transportation, but you may call or mail Vrads
Sande to help you find an abhyasi to pick you up in Bryrup. You are only
requested to pay the petrol expenses which will be 30 DKK from Bryrup to
Vrads. You may also

You can
also get at taxi from bryrup, the telephone no. for ‘Bryrup Taxi’ is: 7575 6441 and for ‘Them Taxi’: 7575 7444. The ride will be about 80 DKK.
A taxi from
Billund to Vrads will cost you about 500-600 DKK.
Transportation
from Karup Airport
There is no airport bus, so you can either call
a taxi on (+45) 9710 1218, which you can order before your trip, or you can call one of the abhyasi
drivers and ask if they can pick you up.
If you take a taxi to Silkeborg you can take bus no. 215 destination Vejle where you have to get off in Bryrup.
Transportation from Aarhus Airport
There is a bus connection from
Aarhus Airport to Aarhus, directly connected to route- and charterplanes. It takes about 45
minutes to Aarhus trainstation, and you buy the ticket in the bus, in DKK,
Norwegian Crowns, US dollars, English pounds or Euros. From Aarhus you can take
the train to Silkeborg, and from there the bus no. 215 to Bryrup destination Vejle.

from Esbjerg Airport
There is a bus connection from
Esbjerg Airport to Esbjerg. Find the timetable here.
From Esbjerg busstation
there is a bus 913X
to Nr. Snede destination Aarhus. From Nr. Snede you can get on the bus 215 to Bryrup or call Vrads Sande for an abhyasi
driver.
COMING BY TRAIN
If you come by train from the South or East (Germany
or Copenhagen), then get off in Vejle, and take the bus no. 215 to Bryrup destination Silkeborg.
If you come by train from Aarhus or Herning, then get off in Silkeborg and get on bus no. 215 to Bryrup destination Vejle.
COMING BY CAR
The cheapest way to Vrads Sande is mostly to
fill up a car and share the petrol expenses.
If you come by car from any country South of
Denmark, then follow the highway E45 across the Danish border at Kruså, cross the bridge in Vejle, continue a few kilometres and exit
off the highway in the direction to Viborg, following route 13. Go about 35 kilometres, pass Nr.
Snede and Hampen, and approximately three kilometres
after Hampen there is a sign for Vrads on the right side. Coming to Vrads you cannot
miss Vrads Sande.
